What new (to you) artists did you discover this year?

With it being the Spotify Wrapped time of year again, I always like to see how my music listening habits changed from the last year. In that same vein I thought it would be interesting to look at what new artists I have 'discovered' over the past year (and actually enjoyed listening to more than once). These aren't necessarily artists that came out with new stuff recently, but they are new to me. My top discoveries of 2021 are:

• Black Honey
• Organ Freeman
• Vulfpeck
• Psychedelic Porn Crumpets
• The Dead Pirates

Of course now I also wanna know which artists you 'discovered' (Columbussed, if you will) this year. Again, doesn't actually have to be new material, just something you started listening to for the first time this year

My biggest “new to me” band I discovered this year is Amorphis. They’ve been around since 1990 but I just started listening to them and they’re easily now one of my favorite bands as I dig through their discography. The albums “Eclipse” and “Sky Forger” are without a doubt my favorites.
Their song “House of Sleep” has literally been on repeat for MONTHS !!!

Others include Doom’s Children, The Dead Tongues, And Brown Bird.
