#OneWeekGuitarChallenge update day 7 - Hail To The King rhythm standing up

Ok, this is my day 7 of the guitar challenge. (Well it's a bit more because On Christmas Eve and Christmas day I didn't get anything done 😬) I tried standing up this time and it was not easy!! I mess up on the pre-chorus and I obviously haven't found that "spot" for a good muted sound yet. Also, messed up the last power chord before the solo section and just to prove a point I repeated the chord before the solo 😂 and towards the end I hit 2 times the low E string when I wasn't supposed to. But yeah, here is my attempt. I'll keep on practicing it just standing up from now on!

I’m so proud of you girl ! Awesome progress in such a short amount of time ! It’s awesome you already know spots to work on ! Keep it up !!!!

One note I’ll add, may not help you, but for me, I find it easiest for me to get a decent palm mute when I actually rest the side of my palm on the bridge of the of the guitar.

Hell yes, that was great! A full song and standing up! I am kinda ashamed cause I needed a couple of years before I could do this :ROFLMAO:
What I think would be super cool is, now that you are familiar and pretty confident with the song, start getting into alternate picking. Like the muted strokes for example. That's the exact thing my brother is struggeling with too, switching from straight down to alternate picking but it is something you want to learn eventually. :money-face:

Thank you Dom 🖤 I'll work on it for sure. Expect a 3rd Hail to the King video with that and palm muting fixed...hopefully 😂😂😂😂
