I was going to record some video today and went with this cause @redlipsofdeceit asked me to try.
I practiced it again a couple weeks ago after seeing the thread she made. Only practiced it a few times today and it's not perfect.
Dropped my pick towards the end, I made another video but I was burping a lot.
Feeling nervous and unsteady today.
The recorded version sounds chimey to me, maybe 2 guitars but I think it could be one with the right notes/patterns. I was looking at a nice tab someone made. Almost forgot I was too rough with my guitar for this song
👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 kudos for keeping going after losing the pick ! I actually quite like the sound of your strums without the pick. 😊
Thanks, I guess I kept the pace pretty well hearing it back.
Maybe you can't see it well but I try to use my other fingers to help out when I strum without a pick. Thanks for the compliments :D

Overall, it was pretty good. As you said, you were a little rough with the guitar, it seemed like you were strumming kinda hard. I do the same thing after playing electric for a while then going acoustic. Also, it seems like your strumming arm is pretty tense, maybe try relaxing your strumming arm a bit more and try using your wrist to make your hand move rather than your whole arm.

Yeah I noticed that too. Like an overexaggeration of the movement, I do that often. Somedays it's rough and I'm not feeling it. I was practicing stamina and stuff a couple days maybe like you said with the electric guitar. My arm is often tense, I'm sure I have a problem. I'll try to keep it in mind more often with the wrist movements. Thanks a lot!

Almost forgot but I think the length of my strap isn't good for me. I should put it up some

Good work :) Especially avoiding the "zomg i lost my pick" panic that I get..

To soften your arm, try anchoring the elbow end of the your forearm to the top edge of guitar and just strum using your forearm (less upper arm).

Another thing I do is anchor my pinky like when I do for picking, that reduces how much strength you can put into your strumming a lot.

In terms of chords, there's like two C variants and two D variants (because I think the original track has two guitars layered on it).

One is the normal open C and open D chords, the variant are that same open C shape but add the top G and slide that c shape up three frets and you'll have the D variant.

Least that's how I think it is.

Thanks, I think I understand what your saying and I'll give it a try. The chords too
