Hail to the King (Rhythm) Day 1! #oneweekguitarchallenge + #SynnerSaturday

First day of practising Hail to the King for @Alicia Willis challenge #oneweekguitarchallenge. I tried this song in the past and gave up quickly to do other things Decided to get back to this in the spirit of the challenge. Pre-chorus and pre-solo are the worst parts but after I shot the video I worked some more on just those sections and are already a bit better. My goal for the week is to clean the whole song up the best I can and jam to the original song...and I would like to try it standing up. Let's see how that goes (video shot on my worst angle ever )
girl you’ve got it down already ! Just minor tweaking and it’ll be killer ! Also, the angle is great ! You look beautiful just like always !!!!

Ive been playing this a bit myself, so I’ll point out the obvious thing I’m sure you already know and that’s the palm mutes. They really make this song. The lesson on the school is super great to help with them. I hated them for the longest time haha but it really is all about finding that “sweet” spot on your guitar.

I cannot wait to see this in a week girly !

FUCK YEA!!! that’s amazing my friend!
Thank you dear Bea
Thank you $ys yeah totally have to work on palm mute, I have another try that I shot after this where I actually try to palm mute but I messed up more parts so I decided to upload this I'm going to watch again the lesson and see how far I go in a week
Omg amazing you have it down really really well already!! So proud of you!!
Thank you Kat

Hell yeah! That rocked! One thing though, I believe the notes in between the power chords are actually played over all strings and muted with your fretting hand, instead of just playing the lowest string

Thanks Dom!! Which notes are you reffering to? Can you tell me like the minute in the video or a reference so I can look better into it? Thanks

Yeah I noticed while typing that it's hard to explain lol. The additional notes coming in at around 0:30

That rocks!!! Great start to getting the rhythm section. With practice you will get the nuances of the rhythm section over time. You may try listening to isolated rhythm track for practice too.
