So the morning after jam night (it's been a month or two since the last one) I realise why I couldn't get the tone out of my amp exactly how I wanted.. ...there's a master volume dial that I haven't changed in three months..
ah.. that sinking feeling when you hear a loud crack noise when you're pushing in the new nut back into the slot after finally getting it to the right height..
Would anyone want to see a blog on what I'm going to do to fix and improve a cheap guitar ?
For those that have never tried before, brand name strings do sound/feel a bit better than cheapo strings on my electric. I went from artist guitar generic 9's to ernie ball slinky's and it does make a difference, not nearly as much as on my accoustic, but still, they feel well.. slinky.. -
