    Alright guys....

    what songs have you been working on? My band is playing a show on Saturday. Two of the songs we are playing are Nightmare and Hail to The King mixed in with some originals!

    Also... raise your hand if you have issues with your Floyd rose and/or you stray away from Floyd equipped guitars because of the maintenance associated with it! I’m thinking of posting a video here addressing that!

    Oh, we've had plenty of discussions on the Joy of Floyd. I did a (probably too extensive) deep-dive when I changed string gauges and dropped the tuning on my 30 year old Ibanez a while back. We could probably stand to have a simpler one for some folks, either a simple string change, or even a single string change, as a lot of the newer players break more strings.

    No one's playing gigs really in the US (though, as always, original bands rarely draw enough of a crowd to be a problem in Covid), but I've been noodling with Iron Maiden's Alexander the Great for a couple days. There's a rhythmic section in 7/8 that I'm really having to focus to keep time in, and I've only dabbled with the solos, but I'm enjoying that one.

    Hello everyone!
    I joined SGGS when it was first introduced but I never got around to being very active in the community
    due to being very busy with work and writing music with my band.
    I have noticed people have shared some of their videos via the "Add media" button.
    I am wondering if there is a way to go live in the community? I would love to help anyone
    who is currently struggling or feel that they have hit a block in their playing.

    Thanks for the info guys! Maybe in the meantime, I’ll try to stream from twitch and share it here! Thinking of also including maintenance tips such as taking care of a Floyd Rose. I understand many people stray away from them due to inexperience with them.
