I need to brush up on my music theory, anyone have any good book recommendations? Please and thank you!

If you know theory and want to brush up, Rick Beato's Beato Book 4.0.

If you don't know much theory and want to dive in, then Guitar Theory for Dummies. I'm on page 16.

A great companion to it - you can arguably learn most of the same theory without buying the book - is Rick's youtube channel.

If you search 'Rick Beato basics of music theory' you'll get a whole range of whiteboard lectures that you can take notes on

I find the Beato stuff to fast and too advanced for the n00b, even when he says it is. Hard to turn off a raging faucet like that, I guess, which is why I mentioned the Dummies book, too.

Yeah Rick and his book is pretty much the most amazing thing! The videos are fantastic but you definitely will need to make sure you take notes and watch them a few times through. But they are free so that's good

I wouldn't consider myself a "noob" but I most definitely am a "dummy" all of these suggestions are very helpful and much appreciated, thank you everyone.
