10-52 is the way to go. It is the best for being able to bend but also they are not very floppy allowing you to solo with scales and sweeping very easily.

The typical and most common string gauges for standard or drop d tuning are 9-42 and 10-46. Personally, I’ve tried going heavier and I always come back to 9-42, year after year, for like 35 years now.
