Dm is Dm, regardless of the key. It only depends on what's the lowest Note you want.
I actually am writing an original right now that originally was in Dm but I dropped Fron Standard Tuning to D Standard, which makes my Key Cm
It depends on what you are going for. I would imagine Drop D or D standard would be good since you would have access to a low D power chord like Domnik said
