I am going to go with yes, never attempted it myself but looking at the tabs for it I would say it is pretty beginner friendly.

Just had a bit of play around with it, and I am changing my opinion to it making a GREAT beginner song.
It has a bunch of familiar open chords (and a maybe not so familiar chord) with a fairly straight forward strumming pattern. Add to that the arppegiated chords through the intro/verse, which includes a few challenging bars, and you have a song that will challenge a beginner and aid their overall progress but is not so daunting as to make them give up in frustration.
