    It's hard, if your having trouble rhythm, it may be practicing switching between the chords where it's less clean. String noise, could be fixed with muting certain notes, fret hand muting is kind of resting/loosening your finger(s) on the fretboard and picking hand is in most cases resting your palm or bottom half of your hand on the strings. There's dead notes and muted ones, I got to go, I hope this helps you some. Sometime I use distorted tones to practice muting, 'cause I can hear the difference easier on some things. Take care!
