Hey, recently I have attempted to start playing more to try and feel rhythm while playing but I haven’t got a clue how, its almost impossible to tap my foot to a drum beat and play at the same time and most of the time finding the beat of a song is quite challenging. I don’t know any other ways...
The best advice I can give is practice practice and PRACTICE. I played a mesa 2c+ and a jp15 and I didn’t sound like petrucci so it must be in the hands and it is. The best thing to do is listen to syns influences, find where he got his style and learn licks and techniques from both them and...

Vocals- I cant sing for sh*t but I want to learn how to sing like Devin Townsend
I am a huge advocate for floyds and have them on my main guitars but if you want a straight up ready to go metal machine I would advise avoiding them. They are great and are a huge part of my melodic playing (think Vai style inflections). But I really need a simple stripped guitar with a TOM...
Id try a harmoniser pedal if possible, this is obviously not a substitute but it will help you figure out some stuff by ear by hearing what it will sound like.
