    Yeah check your tremolo ground, its prob a cold solder joint (Edit: After reading that it quiets when your hands touch the strings, it is 110% a ground issue. There is one of three issues 1. bad solder joint at tremolo ground 2. bad solder joint on pot ground 3. bad solder joint on audio jack

    Could always change string gauge as well, just be super careful with any truss rod adjustments. If the rod offers a lot of resistance, dont force it!

    It really is, haha. I like doing a similar thing with misfits songs where I'll try to make a cool lead guitar melody to go with the song! or make screaming versions of misfits songs lol! Some naturally work out surprisingly well!
