I need to ask something about concerts in future

So what you're saying is...you don't actually like pop music that much . As for the topic at hand, I wouldn't worry too much. People have been claiming that AI might end music creation because you can actually create half-decent music with it, but it won't. And the Metaverse might offer...

    3 note per string patterns

Based on your description and my experience of hand hurting (because of my tendons, rather than anything else), it sounds like bad wrist placement. As others have suggested, if you would like to do so, a video would probably be the most helpful.

What I learned in 1 year of making music

Sorry about the first one...better to remove the bandaid fast rather than slow . And yeah, you nailed it...it's inspiration. I mean, you may end up accidentally almost rewriting certain songs, but so long as they're just that little smidge different, you're good to go. One of the hardest...

Guitar Synyster Gates custom S whammy bar won't stay in

As far as I can tell from your description, you're missing the little screw thing that's supposed to go into the little hole where the whammy bar is inserted. So basically, on the side of the area where you insert the whammy bar, there's a small hole where you must put the little screw in and...

Oh yeah, I remember this one from years ago when I first listened to it...it's so, so good.

What I learned in 1 year of making music

Glad you all liked it. I got a million of these learner stories. I might share some other really funny or good ones around here . It really is a trip to be a musician.

What I learned in 1 year of making music

So this is going to be a long thread but bear with me, it's at least going to be a fun read if nothing more :)). So at the beginning of 2021, I decided to fully focus on making music. And a year or so later, I figured it's a good checkpoint to share some of the things I've learned as I make...

    My second output!

Love the new age style intro. I was half-expecting some lounge music. It's a very mood-inducing song, I'll give you that. I like it overall. Gives me some video game vibes as well.

    Music and mental health

Rise Against got me through high-school. Always felt so relieving to hear Tim scream in my fucking ears when I couldn't. A7X and Rise Against got me through college and all stress that came with exams. This Is Letting Go by Rise Against was the reason I quit a job once. It helped me stop...

Please Vote On The Riff Page Activity (Read Below Poll Options)

I think I only ever posted one riff, which was Afterlife, but that's due to me focusing on creating original music. And since I use MIDI and digital instruments for...basically everything, I don't really know what to comment on these. I even tried doing that on IG to gain some growth/exposure...

    Playing and singing

The first thing, as Jak mentioned, is to get a capo. Second of all, after some bit of practice, your voice will naturally transpose itself to whatever key you are playing in. I do that all the time in my live sessions, for there are some songs which are too high for me.

Awesomeness. If you need any help reading that stuff, hit me up via IG or PM here  .

    ALPOH orchestra info

Here are some sheet links as well: Link 1 (piano-ish) Link 2 (some complex shit I don't think I've ever had to read in 10 years of classical music, but I'll help you if you want)

    ALPOH orchestra info

This is how an orchestra is positioned: As for ALPOH itself, it has strings and brass sections as far as I can tell. Strings are violins, violas, cellos, and double basses. Brass means trumpet, trombone, tuba, and french horn. Honestly, the best place to start is Making Of A Little Piece Of...

Can we post acoustic stuff in the riff section too?

Oh cool, a topic about acoustic riffs. *sees everything devolving into Johnny Christ and Nickelback discussions and worshiping* This is peak humanity and no one can tell me otherwise.

@Ids Schiere I get that :)). What plugins are presented in that course? Or how's it organized?

Food for thought about music production

Extremely well put. I think you just need to compromise. If you have a band and each member can record their own parts, then just go with the natural flow and feel. If you don't and you can only use samples/VSTs for certain instruments, then you just need to accept there's a good chance it's...

2 months into my shift as a full-time musician. The urge to rage at people who call this "not a real job" is high. Started seeing Reaper grids on walls. And I think I can hear VSTs that I can't afford call my name...but this is totally not taking a toll on my sanity . What have you guys...

Food for thought about music production

@Ids Schiere yeah, I kinda agree. Though many plugins are somewhat smart and they have this thing called Round Robin where they play a different sample for each note. The paying ones at least sound realistic. I should know, I use them a lot :)) . @William Byerley true, it did change it a lot...
