My progress on the advanced introduction to sweep picking lesson

I just made this video about where I currently am with the advanced introduction to sweep picking lesson. It was interesting to see this video for me as I can truly listen and see what I am doing. Any feedback is welcome!

Any tips for learning how to sweep pick?

Thank you so much for all these tips guys, I knew I could count on you! It gets me really motivated to see that you all answer and each one of you gives its own little trick or shares its experience and difficulties. Best forum hands down. I will soon do a video about my progress on sweep picking!

    Dive bombs

Time to do a little bit of self-promotion 😁 I LOVE divebombs, so I practice it pretty often and I made a tutorial for the School about what I learned on the subject, maybe you could learn a thing or two.

I am struggling to find the desired tone from my guitar and amp. help.

For me, a tone like this means a fair amount of distorsion and a lot of mids, try to play with your amp settings to nail that. But I'm afraid that it will be hard for you to get such a massive tone without a humbucker pickup, single coils struggle to do a clean, heavy tone with distorsion

Any tips for learning how to sweep pick?

Thank you, yeah I noticed that there is a lot of noise when I try to sweep. Why is the pull-off so important? I totally agree for the hard but favorite technique, it sounds so well. Alright, I'll make sure that I practice slow and that I divide the segments, thank you so much!

Any tips for learning how to sweep pick?

Hello guys, so I've been practicing sweep picking with Papa Gates' lesson and it's quite a hard technique. I'm practicing it everyday and slowly, and I notice a great improvement (thanks to Papa Gates' awesome tutorial and point of view on the role of the left hand when doing this technique). I...

What did you listen to ten years ago?

I wasn't even listening to music ten years ago, like, at all 😂 When I started to (it was like five years ago), I was listening to a lot of The Offspring, Sum 41, Bring Me The Horizon and Green Day. Oh, yeah, and Hollwyood Undead, it was my favorite band.

    Synyster Gates Custom S Questions

This is a damn cool guitar, I would love to have a Sustainiac.

    Syn's pick type?

Damn, 2mm is thick as hell, I tried it once and I couldn't play with it, it was too different, but while trying it I noticed that it gave a really cool tone. I think that I'm currently using a 1.14mm pick and my 2mm is laying on the floor somewhere near my amp.

    Should I start learning solos?

That's what I do too, just try to find a solo that motivates you and that you want to play and practice it, look up for lessons of techniques you don't know.
