    Tips for memorizing the Fretboard!

I'd memorize it thinking of both - but starting with Sharps was easier for me if I was Ascending, & Flats if I was descending. The reason you want to know both is so that you can visualize/think of your Major Scales/Keys the easiest way. For example, your first fret on the A string - I call it...

Great stuff! I reckon you'll have it nailed in no time 😊 See we feel like that about every other accent, especially the US & English accent! - to us, we just sound flat - usually why British/Scottish bands sing in American accents to disguise it 😂

Hey! No problem at all, I'm glad it was of use to you 😁 Yeah it's something I struggled with a lot as well, as it seemed so overwhelming at first - it's like my brain repelled it! After a while the natural notes just seem to light up on the fretboard and with them, all the sharps/flats. Ah...

Seize the Day Ending/Bat country "Sweep"

I had a try earlier on and it's definitely true - mind you, at the moment I can sweep it a lot more comfortably as I've been working on my sweeping at slow speeds. But I reckon bringing the alternate picking up gradually will allow for a more even attack 😁 The tricky part is the unusual...

How long have you been playing?

I've been playing since I was 10 or 11 - so 15 years. But I feel like I've only started playing properly the past 4 or 5 years 😊

    Burned out

Everyone else has given amazing advice already! but here's my two cents: This is your mind and body's way of telling you that something isn't working for you, and you've really got to listen to it - practice in general should be a focused but largely relaxed thing. Burnout usually happens when...

Seize the Day Ending/Bat country "Sweep"

It's 100% alternate picking, but I have no clue how he does it so cleanly with the arpeggios!

Why do some chords have numbers on them?/ Having trouble figuring out chords

Yeah totally, D# and Eb are the exact same note so it's like - if you want to juggle all those sharps you can, or you can just have a scale with 3 flats :ROFLMAO: (Eb)

Why do some chords have numbers on them?/ Having trouble figuring out chords

The double # & b is more how you would name the note you get to properly by travelling a whole step - that's why those keys aren't practical to use, because nobody wants to call a E minor chord a D## minor 😂 It really is just pedantics but it's worth knowing. That's great that you're writing...
