Voice leading is a fairly simple concept. Imagine playing and E to and A. (baby chords) Concentrate on the high open E string that is in both chords. That's voice leading. Rick is a SUPER nice guy. Syn has done a YouTube with him and I've met him a couple of times. (And he was nice to me before he knew I was Syn's dad). Yeah, his knowledge is unearthly. Good Acoustic Strings
I use D'Addario. (12 - 52) Syn uses Ernie Ball. Not sure of the gauge on his. Acoustics sound much better with heavier gauge strings. I do use 10s on my Gypsy Jazz guitar - but Gypsy has a different sound. Very thin and buzzy.- Brian Haner Sr.
