    The bolt on neck has nothing to do with gloss/satin. It has to do with what edition of the guitar you get. The custom s has set neck, not sure about the other ones.

    All of Syn's custom S guitars have a set neck. I have 2 Satin and one gloss. One thing different about the Satin is that it has a 14 inch neck radius while the gloss has a 16 inch neck radius which is something to keep in mind. I prefer the satin finish any day of the week.     I just got a dark earth burst guitar and I love the color and the silver mixed with black. I honestly think it's my favorite of all my syn guitars, altho I don't like the invader pickups so I ordered a humbucker from Syn's store!

    This is my favorite Syns etude from the pentatonic section. It conveniently incorporates economy picking so I dont even bother with those lessons anymore!

    haha I'll admit they aren't something that has hurt me with guitar/piano. A lot of the times when I'm playing songs I don't even need to really move my hand like if I'm playing power chords on the 3rd fret and then jumping to the 9th fret. No need to move the hand lol
