New lessons, can I skip or scrub?

#WhatJavierSaid That synchronization is still being worked on by the Audentio team.

    Strings

The typical and most common string gauges for standard or drop d tuning are 9-42 and 10-46. Personally, I’ve tried going heavier and I always come back to 9-42, year after year, for like 35 years now.

Is there a way to print the tabs.

Unfortunately, the tabs are part of the videos. This came up a couple years ago, and Syn and Papa went foraging for the original tab files and, as is often the case with rock star types, they couldn't find shit. :giggle: So unfortunately, William's suggestion of taking screen shots is about all...

    String

Okay, so you've got a Floyd Rose floating bridge. There are three places a string can typically go out of tune - the bridge, the nut, and the tuning peg. A Floyd Rose tries to eliminate them all. It eliminates the bridge by making the player cut the ball-end off the string and uses a pressure...

What type of arpeggios are these?

^^^^ See? Now that's why he gets the "Fucking Legend" tag.

It surely has been a long time

Sweet! Blue guitars are faster. The multiscale can take some getting used to, but I recommend going back and forth a lot while you're getting used to it so you can adapt to switching back and forth easier. Congrats!

    Best Amp Settings?

Probably the Super Crunch voice and a nice tape delay. Maybe a touch of reverb, too. From there, ya gotta play with the dials and find what you want.

What are you currently listening to?

I have to believe this song was the inspiration for a certain part of Critical Acclaim.

    Set Me Free Cover

Sounds really sweet! Tone is for your own personal inspiration, but if it was my tone, I'd take the mix % on the chorus down a bit and add some mids back into the lead channels, BUT THAT IS JUST ME. You asked for the feedback - it should sound how YOU want it to. Mix is great.

Barre chords for 7 string guitar?

You had to write it up to put it in terms your brain could work with. Good deal. Glad you got it worked out!

Barre chords for 7 string guitar?

However you do it when you play 5 string barre chords (like A, C, etc) and don't want to sound the 6th string. No sense reinventing the wheel.

    Brompton Cocktail Solo help

No, that's what a Whammy pedal does, though. A wah pedal is kind of like an EQ boost for a small set of frequencies, and moving the pedal moves the boosted frequencies up or down, and the effect can be similar to a talk box, but less expressive. You can sort of simulate what it does with your...

With a wah, you can wing a lot as long as you’re in the vicinity. Ask Kirk!

    Brompton Cocktail Solo help

It's hard to tell, because in addition to being mixed a little low, he's also got a wah effect going on it. I am most inclined to think the book is closest.

    Rhythm Combinations

When you get into different subdivision possibilities for each note, it's exponential and only physicists who can't get dates might figure that out. :-)

    Guitar legends

The era of the Guitar Hero came to a rather abrupt end in 1991/92. That was when ordinary (non-musician) people stopped caring about who the guitar player was. There are certainly guitar heroes out there, but they're known mostly to just guitar players and serious guitar fans. The only...

    Guitar Bat country solo help

I'm guessing you're looking mostly at a hand synchronization problem. There are a ton of exercises out there to work on hand sync, especially on single string runs. Look up the Bens on YouTube (Higgins and Eller) for good hand sync exercises, then slowly work your way up.

    Brompton Cocktail Solo help

The official transcription on Ultimate Guitar is very different. And then I looked in the tab book, and it's much different there, as well - the almost tremolo picked parts in the image below are fleshed out into actual notes there. This is super common with Syn's solos, especially the faster...

    Lesson Videos not working

Nope. The problem was entirely on our side. The videos are up, as of today, with our new hosting, and syncing them to the SoundSlice TAB should be underway shortly.
