    Floyd rose 1500

I have never actually owned a guitar with a Floyd Rose branded bridge. All of mine have been FR *licensed* Ibanez Edge. That said, the FR 1500 is what is on all the floating guitars Syn plays, including the ones that Jak has, so she is better qualified to speak to whether or not they stay in...

    Videos not working

We do know y'all don't think we're the problem, and I can assure you, we're all just as frustrated. I will try again to get a bit more of an update.

I'm Not Happy With Some Things Here

It sure sounds like you've had a rough road, my friend, and I can assure you, you've become a welcome presence here on the site. We've even joked about disabling delete for you because you post some great thoughts and comments, and then second-guess yourself and delete some really good stuff. Of...

Overview Of EDCAG – The Minor Version of The CAGED System – Lesson 34

This system is not entirely about playing all the chords this way. Very few people could make an effective GMaj or Gm chord ring out with a barre. Understand the shapes and how portions of them make smaller chords, diads and triads, and form the basis for a lot of sweep/arpeggio stuff. It can...

I'm Not Happy With Some Things Here

Agreed. Things were already in a bit of a rut, but the lessons being down has caused a massive hit. The Discord is certainly more active, but it's also a bit more of a trash fire, at least to me. I've been there and made posts trying to drive traffic over here, but it usually doesn't have much...

Comment by 'Ed Seith' in media 'My work so far with Iron Maiden-Aces High 🥰'

NICE! This song was my very first exposure to Maiden, when I brought home the Powerslave vinyl from the mall in 1985. You play a lot of the single note lines in a different position than I learned, but your way is probably right. Sounds great!

    Where

You're gonna have to be more specific here. Are you asking about writing songs or songs to listen to?

I bought a new battle axe, new here ... ish.

A fine machine you've got there. That'll help you work up a sweat!

    1980’s pre-lawsuit Schecter PT…???

Near as I can find, this is a Schecter Saturn, manufactured in Dallas, Texas USA area between 1983 and 1986 (possibly VERY early 1987). The neck is actually a Fender Telecaster neck, which Fender didn't mind while Schecter had been a small custom shop, but now that they were mass-producing...

A Peek Behind the Curtain - How Tours are Run

Ever wonder what the people Syn and the guys hire to run their tours actually do? This is a great video that goes into the general logistics of it all. I can't figure out who their example artist is, but considering the size of the venues they're using, it's reasonable to assume it's an...

Putting Yourself Out There and Actually BEING A Musician

What a great post! I'm excited you're looking at gigging, and I'm super-happy that you've salvaged a good relationship with your Dad!

What are you currently listening to?

    Pinch harmonics

SUPER common problem. I'll try to do a short video later today on it. Lots of folks need it.

Fermi Paradox - the subject, not the song

Ya, we've had discussions with Syn about the Discord and it's in his hands.
