For clarity to people studying this, the importance is knowing the shapes and how to apply them, both to chord fragments and lead or melodic lines. There should be no expectation of trying to play the G shape in the second position (A Maj). That's not what it's about. If I tried to do that - at...
To answer the question, I don’t think so. It only changes in relation to other keys your song may also be in. But an entire song in Dm is not going to impart different feelings that it would if it was in Cm or Em.
More often than not, such key changes are done to accommodate a vocalists range or...
So, here, the muscle memory is there, but the dexterity (speed and accuracy) is out of practice. Start with some warm-up exercises and then work into the bits you know how to play, only do it slower until it's fully under your fingers again.

Might depend on how you're playing the chords. Dammit features a C-G-A-F progression for the verses. If you play the C and G in the 3rd position, the A in the open position, and the F in the 1st position, they're very close together and you can move from one to the other with reasonable speed...
I spoke to this in another thread, my apologies. I stand RE-corrected. The WAV files I had for these I made with a conversion tool, and they don't work properly. As of now, these cab IRs are *only* for the AxeFX line, and I don't see that changing in any official way any time soon.
Absolutely! Electric or acoustic, standard tuning on both is the same, so chords, scales, etc, still relate. Additionally, if you progress on an acoustic, it will feel a LOT easier when you do transition back to electric.
Rest of the year shaping up nicely. Got the Deathbats gathering in HB on Halloween weekend, then Trivium with BTBAM a week later, and then the Trinity of Terror (INK, BVB, Motionless in White and Atreyu) first week of December. Booyah!
