Nice! This is obviously simple to play, so it's all about feel. You held back and didn't rush it. Nailed it!!

    Used Hellwin 100 USA

An amp way ahead of its time. Did all the crazy natural overdrive/saturated stuff you would expect (in my opinion far better than a Bogner or a Marshall) - BUT - also just might be the best clean amp I have ever played through. I actually used it more for clean than dirty. It literally sparkled...

    Does Theory Matter?

The most frequent question I get asked is "Do I really need theory? In a word. YES! Listen to the melody in the first minute of this piece. The same 3 notes (mostly the same 2). Listen to how the chords change - which constantly changes how the melody works. Sometimes it's happy. Sometimes it's...

Robin Nolan's gypsy jazz school question?

    Landing Tones - Lesson 3

Thank you, J! The quickest way to expand as a "true musician" is to study musicians who play other instruments. Especially vocalists! A voice is the purest instrument. There are no strings, valves, reeds, keys, etc. to interpret or get in the way of your initial sound.

And there's nothing wrong with that. But I find when I move to another position I get different ideas. It just makes you think differently. You've got the right idea though. Keep it simple!

Nice! Simple with plenty of feel. Don't be afraid to move around a bit more. Try playing down on the 2nd fret position. A Bm chord (Am shape) Get aquatinted with playing some single note stuff down there. Then tie the two positions together.

Operation "don't suck at guitar" 2.0

This perfectly sums up EVERYTHING this school is about.

    Creating Tension - Lesson 8

Exactly! Once you get the hang of it - it's really fun to play.

I'm So Happy. I Love You All

I would also add this. Nearly every time I go to a thread to answer someone's question - it has been answered by you. I think about adding to it and then realize there is nothing else to say. It's all there. If you don't know something, you ask questions. You don't guess at it. You research it...
