Hey Alex! thanks for the update. I'm just curious what the new features would be if I chose to do a paid upgrade?

Songs that changed your life or helped you through tough times

I could list 100 but the 3 ones that stand out to me are: Tension - A7X: Before Covid, when I used to do lots of weekend work DJ'ing in Bars, I'd have no social life, little sleep and I would get insane anxiety before work. I literally felt trapped in that job. Tension just spoke to me during...

    Psychology of unconventional songwriting

It must just be something you naturally like man! Yeah even really dissonant harmony is still harmony in a sense. Maybe it's the idea that most people are drawn away from it that attracts you to the sound?

Been teaching loads & gearing up the socials for releasing a new single with my band this Friday, which I'll share on here! So yeah, busy busy thankfully 🤟

    Psychology of unconventional songwriting

I always find this topic really interesting to be honest. I feel like a lot of what we perceive to sound pleasant/not pleasant in harmony comes from the overtones of the Harmonic Series contained within every individual note. It just so happens that the first bunch of overtones in the Harmonic...

    FRETBOARD Memorization/Visualisation

Great video! I tend to try and think in the simplest way possible to memorize the fretboard as my memory is atrocious  The way I think of it is surrounding the 'natural notes' - no sharps or flats: I just remember that BC & EF are always stuck together and everything else has a sharpened...

    CIRCLE OF FIFTHS!

Love this approach to using the circle, man! Something I've never even clocked onto. Thanks for sharing

"The more I learn, the less I know", did you ever had this feeling?

I definitely get this feeling a lot! I always see it as a positive. If you realize that there's more to know then that will always be a motivation to try and learn it - verses a player that think's they've got something covered and doesn't delve deeper, they always loose out on the good stuff 🤟

    Harmony/tutorial poll ω

Cemetery Gates is an absolute banger! Not listened to it in so long

    How do you practice?

My practice involves a lot of improv/ear training stuff just now and just practicing concepts. Usually I'll improv along to backing tracks on youtube or I'll put something down on my looper and jam to that. Ear training wise I try to see if I can hear a melody as soon as I sit down and try to...

    Arpeggio or Pentatonic Scales

Hey Lavrov! I'd learn both but I'd personally start with your Pentatonic Scales. They are the easiest to apply musically and will be much easier to fret 🤟

A little personal story - trying to vent

Thanks so much for sharing that story, man. You seem like a really strong person! You'll no doubt achieve whatever you want with that kind of determination. The best thing about music is that whatever happens in your life, music is a constant and it never lets you down 🤟
