    Yes. It serves as a muting tool so you dont get much unwanted noise and it’s kind of an anchor too. I would suggest that you watch some good players like Syn and Papa Gates and analise their technique in depth also. That helped me when I got lost.

    What Robert said is very very useful. You can also practice small group of notes fast and rest between them. For example: pick 4 notes, rest, 4 notes again. Be as relaxed as possible while practicing. Have fun with it! 🤘
