    Papa Gates is actually playing a D minor pentatonic scale (D shape for Dm), however, the tab + score read an Am (C shape) pentatonic going up. Play it, listen to it, and don't focus on the tab.

    Hi guys. Thanks for the lesson. I think there might be a sneaky mistake in bar 5. The F pentatonic scale going down with the D shape reads 5-2 on the d string, notes G-E. I believe it should read 5-3, notes being G-F; and it sounds and looks like this is what Papa Gates plays. Cheers, Will
