Anybody know if the tab books are 100% accurate? The stage seems to be quite accurate but the afterlife tab has the most inefficiently transcribed solo with large jumps in the sweeping parts and double picked notes randomly. Does anybody know if they are correct or not? I know the tab book and studio version aren’t exactly the same as how he plays it live but I’m just curious if it’s exactly correct.

i have 2 different hal leonard books one is the white album and the other is more like a collaboration and they both cover the solo to afterlife but they are different i will upload pics soon. i guess it depends on the transcriber.

I own the city of evil, nightmare and The stage tabbooks. You have to change around the fingering a lot but the notes seem oke. It does seem that they put more effort into the stage because until now I’ve been pretty amazed with the accuracy (besides the 2.5 step bend at the end of the intro). For nightmare and city of evil I mostly changer the fingering because it seems a bit awkward to me.

I agree with IDs. The notes are usually right but the finger placement can get really weird.
I also noticed in the Waking The Fallen book that they skip some notes like in the intro of eternal rest and a few songs, though they are right, there are little things that they miss or tell you to play weird.
