Sup. Been a while since I visited the website. Any recommendations for good afffordable acoustic guitars, as i know absolutely nothing about acoustic guitar brands. I’m not planning on getting one anytime soon, but I will do once I start to get a collection going. Any recommendations will be noted. Thanks!

may I recommend the beautiful one that is my profile picture 😀
It’s an Art & Lutherie (it’s by Godin). More specifically a Folk Spruce Burgundy EQ. It’s a great guitar if you have baby hands like I do haha.
Here’s their website for all of their guitars: http://www.artandlutherieguitars.com/intro/

Everyone has their own preference in sounds/body styles. It also depends on what styles you want to play. Although we may can give suggestions, it may be helpful to go to the local shop and try a bunch out, get a feel for whats out there and see what sounds/feels right!
Personally, I use a cheaper model from Takamine ( https://www.takamine.com/EG340C ). I was limited when shopping because of price and playing lefty.
Hope this helps!

Depends what kind of sound you like. I would suggest Fender acoustic guitars. They have a nice fuller, bright sound and also sound nice on solos. Not too expensive too. I bought one about 2 years age and loved it since then.

I second Art and Lutherie. I have one and love it. I recommend checking them out but of cause choose one that fits to your style. Maybe they are nothing for you. So I would say especially in case of acoustic guitars go to a store and buy the exact one you like the most. Not just the same but the exact same. Every acoustic guitar sounds slightly different.

I have a Yamaha FG700 that I picked up at GC years ago for $120. Put a couple of hours of elbow grease into setting it up and I love it. It’s definitely a beater, it’s been in 20 degree weather and 90 degree weather from northern Michigan to Jamaica and it’s held up real nice, but this is all born in mind for me that it’s only a $200 retail guitar. So I give my praise to budget Yamaha guitars, but if I had to go out and buy a nice one I would personally spend my cash on a Martin.
