I also just realized something effectively Am6=F#m7b5=D9. Maybe not an is sign but work as substitution for each other(which also means the Am13 works)
My mind also took a detour to gypsy jazz for a second and it made me realize that that m6 on the top 4 strings that I tend to do in my solo can be combined with a m13 chord. I should try that sometime

Yes it is the A9 consists of the notes A, C#, G, B and E, if you take out the A you got yourself a C#m7b5. They are substitutions of each other. You could also consider an A9 as a C#m7b5/A for example.

Refer to the minor arpeggios in the layer lessons and this will make more sense to you.
Well more chord diagrams for me to draw into my notebook. The first example, like A 9 on the A string blew my mind, because it lacked the root completely, it only used the 3rd(C#), 5th(E), 6#(G) and 9th(B) of the A major scale. I gues there is still a lot to learn regarding chord theory
