Beast & the harlot solo chromatic last part help!

Hey guys, my first post on here.
So I’ve just learned the beast and the harlot solo. When I play The last chromatic part at speed, it sounds terrible. This is probably the fastest solo I can play so I’m not great with speed. Playing it at about 130bpm sounds fine, as soon as I smash full speed (152bpm) all the notes sound muted and it sounds awful I’m not sure if it’s a picking problem or something else.
Any advice?

It sounds like your hands start getting put of sync at that speed. Try to just continue with gradually increasing the speed making sure you can get it clean before you move on.

Hard to tell you without hearing you play it, but my best guess based on what you’ve said is that you’re not clean enough on it at 152 bpm yet.
So if it sounds fine at 130, bump to 135 and keep practicing it there until it “sounds fine” and is easy enough to nail. Then bump to 140. And so on.
Don’t jump from 145 to 152. Go 145 to 150. Then if you have the guts, get it good at 155. Then it will seem EASY at 152.

Why 152 BPM.. that seems like a random pace to do it at, unless the solo is actually at that speed.

The official pace is 154, but 152 would be an easy mistake.
