Best Amp Settings?

i have a blackstar id:30 tvp amp and i want an 80s style lead tone. eddie van halens lead tone for example. if anybody could help that would be great, thank you guys.

Probably the Super Crunch voice and a nice tape delay. Maybe a touch of reverb, too. From there, ya gotta play with the dials and find what you want.

Watcha do there good sir is take the bass and set it at 5, mids at 7, and treble at 6. That for the 80's. : )

Honestly there's so many variables to possibly answer this question accurately. So pickups, guitar, guitar cab, guitar speakers, any pedals, string gage, scale length, pick size...all those effect tone.

But simple explanation would be less gain (maybe slightly more than a crunch tone), more mids, less lows, more highs highs. Play around with the presence or depth settings to taste.

Those 80s players used high output pickups also. So Seymour Duncan JBs, customs, distortions would not he a bad choice.
