Best way to treat my Synyster Custom?

I just bought a new Schecter Synyster Custom and I wanna know what’s the best way to keep her as fresh as possible for the longest time possible?
Like, how often should I change strings to this guitar? (First time Floyd Rose bridge owner)
What’s the best way to clean it? Is there a specific oil or wax or something?
And most important, is it possible to tune it to drop D without having to open the nuts at the top and start to retune my whole guitar?

I always found that you have to setup a guitar with a Floating broke for a specific tuning. Something to do with the tension in the spring and the strings. I have no clue about oil and that sorta stuff. Changing strings should be done when your strings feel dull and je intonation is off how log your strings last depends on the kind of strings you use.

I have an Avenger SLS which is next to the same guitar. I change the strings about once every month, but that’s because I’m really picky. I generally don’t use any oils or wax. When I changed mine from standard to drop D, I only had to make a very small adjustment to the top spring in the rear cavity. You will have to unscrew everything and retune the whole guitar.

Thanks guys! I’m gonna go to the store next week and pick up a few sets of strings and see over time what I like best!
I’ll try to switch every one to two months! I’ll wipe the fret board with just a microfiber and maybe use some Planet Waves Hydrate like Papa Gates said!
    Thanks
