Big thanks to this school for finally making me learn theory after 3 years

I’ve always struggled learning theory and STICKING to it before, everything felt overwhelming and like a mess for me and I would practice it once every 2 months and forget it as I learned it. Thanks to the lessons on this site, which are so clear and understandable with perfect pace, I finally got to it, understood something and stuck to it. Great job for putting this together in such an organized way.
I actually got a teacher for the first time of my life just for theory and it wasn’t nearly as effective as this site. So yeah I thought I’d never get to it but I guess I finally made the step. I never thought the beginner section would help my so much lol

I’m learning the names of all the notes on the fret board so it becomes second nature + 1 scale at a time mostly right now, which is more than I ever did.
Also I knew chords but didn’t know their names, now I do.
I’m on my way to the caged system.

you should learn the caged system now if you’re trying to learn your notes on the board. It’ll give you a huge boost. I dont 100% know my note names yet, but I went 10 years without theory.. this site has done wonders so far.
