Alright everyone the backing track is completed and the collaboration begins.
BEFORE READING: I’d like to extend a huge Thank you to Richard O’Connor for the design and record of the backing track. Thank you Richard!!!!!!!!!!!! Also read the GOALS and RULES PLEASE
The RULES
1) We each get 29-30 seconds to do your part (NO MORE THAN 30 sec to insure everyone gets time to perform) (The track is 7:52 sec for 16 of us)
2) Pick up where the last person left off. Beginners don’t get discouraged a lot of solos I’ve heard over the years have a crazy ass riff and then something simple so DON’T BE DISCOURAGED we’re here to learn and build.
3) Your part if later, for fluidity of the collaboration, you need to play when your time begins so you may need to wait a bit to play your part (IF ANYONE HAS ANOTHER IDEA IN WHICH THAT WOULD MAKE THIS BETTER, BY ALL MEANS). My advice rehearse your part a couple of times.
4) I said, “Do what you can when you can” this still applies but I can only control this so far, the times in which you perform are on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS. If someone beats you for a spot then pick up later so if you want a certain spot, I’d get on it sooner vs. later.
5) HAVE A GREAT TIME AND HAVE FUN (MOST IMPORTANT RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
GOALS:
1) Break people out of their comfort zones by giving them incentive to “put themselves out there”
2) Give an opportunity to show what you learned here and to apply it.
3) Use a real world example of building on someone else.
4) IMPORTANCE OF DEADLINES. Have your part done when you wish to build on _____ persons part.
5) Learn from one another. Syn and Papa Gates want this from us on day 1, lets do that here
6) Make something KICK with a side of ASS for Syn and Papa Gates at the end.
Any questions or concerns or Ideas leave them on this forum, or private message me, or use the bandhub chat
