Cool harmonizing thing

    I like to mess around with my looper to harmonize things sometimes and I just found something that sound pretty cool.

    Basically you take a root note and a third(or any other interval you like to use when harmonizing things) and you alternate between the two and the other one does in the reversed order.

    For example when you have Dm. You let one guitar play D-F and the other guitar play F-D. In this was both the F and the F will always sound like they are being played and it's weird because I couldn't get the same Sonic effect by just tremolo picking the respective notes.

    I don't have a looper to try it out but it seems like a great idea.

    Also a fun idea to create weird sounds, with some ambient tones, is to play arpeggios/triads of two chords that usually don't belong together.
    I can't include an audio file but I played these at the same rhythm on keyboard and recorded it with guitar later: C A E F G - A F C# D E

    I really liked the sound but can't find a way to fit it in a song.

    That's a harmony in thirds, pretty cool! I like harmonizing things in thirds. It doesn't sounds as generic as fifths
