Even after 10 years he still inspires so many of us. RIP to The Rev, the best musician to walk this planet. Hope he's teaching the big man up there a few tips on drumming! FoREVer!

This was great until the pop ups that forced me to use up all my reading reloads. Didnt even get to finish the article.

I got far enough though I think.. kind of reminds me of the heroin diaries. If you haven't read that book before you should.

I didn't have that issue reading it but I can see these online reading sites trying something like that. They all want money from ya Seems like a good book recommendation, thank you. I'm still working on Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis and then Acid for the Children is next.

I also wasn't here this time last year, but I'll use this thread to leave my gratitude for Jimmy.
It was very hard for me to get the news of Jimmy's passing. I just couldn't believe what was happening. I knew they were working on a new album and I was making plans to see their concert when they'd come to Brazil. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to see him live.
Jimmy was a kind person, with a pure heart, and I'm proud I've been a fan for so many years, keeping his legacy alive.
You'll live foREVer in my heart, Jimmy ❤

this man is one of the most important people of my life. he touched me deeply, so it’s been really hard to me to accept his passing.
he inspired me playing drums after years and to achieve my goals and never stop dreaming.
he will always have a SPECIAL place in my heart, because he changed my life and i will always be grateful to him for this.
i miss him immensely, i promised myself not to cry today. it’s hard to do, but i’m trying just for him, because he wants us to be happy and to smile remembering him.
i made so many tributes for him today, but this is probably the most special i made.
this man won’t be forgotten, never, because he’s a legend and legends never die. i will love him foREver, we all will. thank you Jimmy, keep shining up there. WE LOVE YOU.⭐️
if you want, watch this tribute. it means a lot to me.

Man, when he passed, I think I was like 16ish. that was the first time I've ever actually cried for someone I never met in real life. I'm grateful I got to see him live at least once and this cruel world was lucky to have him, if only for a brief time. Rev is yet to be dethroned for best scream vocals IMO too!

When I was 15, Waking the Fallen was my perpetual jam, it's like every time I listened to it I could hear something I didn't hear before, fuckin loved it. It inspired me to get a drum set and boy that was some fuckin fun. I'm virtually deaf in one ear with a bit of loss in the other so the percussive factor of drums rly paired well with me since I could "feel" things much easier. It became a daily routine of my teenage angst, pushing out the thoughts of the rich fucks bullying me, woes of having my mom disappear and get hooked on meth, all these problems melted away when I got home and put in my headphones and played Mr Cab Driver by lenny kravitz or maybe some quiet riot and lost myself on the drums. I needed that escape, that venting rly. Would have never been inspired to pick up the drums without Rev's masterful drum tracks, for that I am thankful
