I've seen some playlists and favorite albums get thrown around, and tbh I didn't go through them all. Since they are from SoCal, do they also enjoy some rap from time to time?
I wouldn't want them to make a rap album or something, I just want to know if they ever listen to and if they enjoy it. And maybe name a few they like if anyone knows

Considering that they all bought nasty grills with part of their CoE advance, I'd say there's a good chance.

What if after their progressive influence in The Stage they had an hip-hop influence for their next album :oops::oops:

Oh God, I hope not. Rich white suburban dudes experimenting with hip-hop is not high on my list of things to not cringe at.

I think zacky in particular really loves hip hop. He had Eminem as record of the year a while ago I believe. Also I think Jimmy took the almost easy bit from hip hop but not sure.
The Almost Easy piano intro is based off of the Terminator 2 theme if I remember right. They talked about it in the Breakdown video about Almost Easy. The hip hop element comes in later on in the song when they unleash some pretty hefty bass. I think that was a Lil Jon influence.

There is some sub-bass in there, yeah. Totally a hip hop thing.

I know that Matt and Syn said that they listen to Kanye, not sure about the rest of the members but they probably listen to a lot more rappers. I would assume that Matt listens rap the most. They also did a collab with MGK so maybe him also. Also Body Count but that's rap metal.
I didn't know they made a song with MGK, that's so cool!

In the "Making Of" documentary for the self-titled 2007 album, I believe they mention that they were inspired by hip-hop beats for the heartbeat 120 bpm on "Scream". Also, I have to imagine the autotune in "Lost" from that album had hip-hop inspirations.
