Hey guys i want to share with you a couple exercises that helped me a lot on my right hand for covering a really huge amount of patterns and “movements”for alternate picking. It goes like this you have to use only your rigth hand and do obviusly alt picking and play with only open strings haha, the first pattern is 3333 ( the number represents the string you have to play, the excercises are in groups of four, and you can play it at whatever eights sixtinths or lower or higher, but important star at a comfortable speed for you WITH a metronome) the first its like a warm up just repeat the pattern for a couple of bars. Then the first paterns are 3332 and 3334, play the patterns one at a time, for example if you’re doing it at eigths play it twice for a couple of bars then the other as well and the combine it like this 33323334, that makes one full bar and repeat then continue the same way with these other patterns 3323,3324,3322,3344,3222,3444,3233,3433,3232,3434,3234,3432,3212,3454 lemme know if its confusing or you dont understand something, i’ll may make a video explain it better, it may be helpful for beginners for learning alt picking as for intermediate and advanced for warmups and pulling the technicque of the right hand.
