I have this same issue. It’s not that I dont know where to look its more everyone wants to do cover bands for some lame reason or only one genre which let’s be real is impossible to do. No way you’re making a 12 track album all the same tempo style etc. Theres gonna be variety. So that’s frustrating.
Im just using this site to get better and reverb nation to try and get my name out a little. If you find a good label they might be able to help more. Just keep going and keep looking. Someone will notice. I feel once I convince my brother to play drums for me were gonna hit it big. He just needs to realize that hah.

I got this advice from a friend recently: “You are the band”. Seriously. It sucks this day in age but it’s really difficult to find a band. I’d suggest looking in your nearest major city for things like open mics and open jams. Tons of cities host them. But as far as an actual band goes, just work on getting your own name out there and it will eventually connect with people. It’s a sad day but my drummer lives in Germany :/ and I know many bands who their members live all over the place. Just focus on getting yourself out there and find people anywhere. I wish you lots of luck
