Future contest prize ideas.

This is exactly why I issued the $50 sweetwater gift card as a prize to Rowan. I think it’s a must to include something on behalf of Syn though because he is putting out hundreds of thousands of dollars into this for us where we are able to host such contests. It’s only fair we make a part of the prize be a gift card to the store
I agree with you. I think it’s great to add other prizes as well that will help us out. But I choose the Syn store gift card because potential winners are way out of country and can’t afford the shipping but they want a sweater or something from the store. That way, if someone wins the $100 gift card but has a $40 shipping fee and they live in the Philippines,the card was purchased with American dollars instead of running them into debt because of currency ratios. Most countries have some sort of local music store where they can upgrade if need be. But only one country has the Synyster Gates Store

The prizes are cool and all, but we shouldn’t expect anyone to put forth money nor anyone should feel obliged to. If someone wants to donate great, but we also run into another point I want to bring up.
The school is here to help the students improve their guitar skills and the work they put towards that is up to them. No one should give people a reward for doing something that is ultimately going to benefit them in the first place.

I agree with Ailee. These contests were issued because I noticed everything on the school slowing down. They were not supposed to be a permanent thing. But I don’t want people to be relying on them for motivation sorry
