Hey new guy here in the school from philippines.
Started playing guitar at the age of 14 during highschool then continuing way up into college then on the year of 2015 to 2017 for 2 years i stopped playing guitar due to studies. I started playing guitar again last year 2018 of summer continuing until now.
And right now im 23 years old and im terribly rusty for not being able to play ofr 2 years and i really want to learn how to play guitar, i found the synyster gates school this year, and the reason i sign up on the school is i want to learn the basics of guitar playing due to i have no formal training on guitar i just taught myself how to play guitar so this school will be my foundation on guitar playing. Thank you Mr. Synyster Gates for creating this school.
( im an Avid fan of Avenged Sevenfold and
Synyster Gates is one of my Idols in guitar playing).

I love hearing of people picking the guitar back up after a while of not playing. The rust takes a little while to come off, but it is definitely worth it! The lessons here for beginners really show a great foundation- you’ll be shredding in no time! One thing that helps me keep for getting out of practice is keeping my guitar out in plain sight… It helps me want to pick it up more.

Like Tyrone said, what you did is not uncommon. Even I myself went through a year without it. Sometimes life happens. But i’m so glad you’re here! I can’t wait to watch your progress!!

    Hello Synners!
I’ve been here for a while but not as an active user. I am a beginner guitarist, bought the guitar in 2012 but I haven’t seen as a big improvement as I wanted. After excitement came discouragement and other things not related to guitar. I almost stopped playing at all. Now I know that it wasn’t the best idea. After a long time, I realized that I can’t give up on my dreams. As 2019 began I started practicing again. Your posts motivate me, especially the latest Jak’s post about homework and Rowan’s video encouraged me to write sth here. I’m going to record sth in the nearest future and share with you guys
