guitar cables

Every guitar cable that I use at some point just goes dead, it’s not a steady decrease in sound quality, just at some point it goes from 100% sound to nothing. I guess the cable breaks somewhere internally due to moving it around all the time. So I was wondering which brand of cables do you think last the longest, are most resistant to damage due to movement? Tips to avoid this are also welcome.

I’ve used Spectraflex cables. I have some that are 25 years old and haven’t given me issues. Also a good idea to “loop” your cables through the strap or something else, to protect the jack points. On the guitar, the cable goes through the strap from behind before plugging in.

I used to have that same exact problem, my chords would last me maybe 3 months before they were conpletely dead.
A friend bought me a Monster cable for christmas back in 2010 and I have not had a single issue with it, which is amazing to me! Lol I absolutley love the cable and if it does go bad on its own Monster will replace the cable for free which is aweeeesome.
Ive never tried the cables Ed mentioned but he knows what he is talking about so try his or monster and you should be good!
