HELP! Finger independence?

Hey $ynners and Gators (dunno sounds funny),

I have been facing a wall lately my fretting hand (in my case right hand) is so uncordinated. The finger coordination is garbage and so is also the independence of them. Any excercises that you could recomend? For instance, there is one part in the solo of Metallica's Unforgiven (the part at 0:44 from the video I linked) that tangles my fingers up so much that I cant play it.
First I thought It was because I was using 3 fingers, therefore I switched to 4 fingers. On a slow pace I can play it fine...when it gets fast....I am lost. The rest of the solo is fine...but this is killing me.

DISCLAIMER:Thats not me in the video, but I figured it out kinda.

Can't Check Out the Video right now, But for coordination and Independence I'd Check Out some alternate Picking and String skipping exercises. You will really need to Focus on your Finger movement which might Help make Solos Like this easier

Something I do when my fingers get tangled when I'm learning someone's solo is playing the same note but in a different position(CAGED and fretboard knowledge are required to do this) and it really helps lot to fix the problem.

It sounds like you are already doing what you need to do. Just gotta slow it down and work those muscles.

If theres something that twists my fingers, I find what the easiest way for me to play it is, then work with a metronome. I never used to use metronomes much but they are an honest God send. Like Dominik said, this school is full of exercises and tools to help you. Good luck!

The fact you changed from 3 to 4 fingers is probably something you're not used to if you dont regularly use your pinky. I am still working my pinky in on descending runs. That sounds like one of the runs I have issues with. You could try the exercises they supplies they will help but I think honestly you just need more time working up the strength.

You're not playing it badly, but I know what you mean. Are you thinking in threes on this? When you're playing it slowly to get it under your fingers, pick the first of every three notes a little harder - accent them, to force yourself to think in the threes. CHUNK it.

Check out this excercise https://syngates.com/lessons/alternate-picking-exercises-3-lesson-75.75/ do every of the 24 permutations, they're amazing, it really helps you a lot. practice them slower and take a long time with each one, it will help you a lot trust me

also practice them with string skipping to add something to the excercises
