Put on a jamming track from you tube as a backing track and noodle those scales that u have learned or memorised. Phrasing and listen to ur ears on which notes are nicer and in no time u be a badass solo guitarist. 3 Important aspect to differentiate a great guitarist and and good guitarists … i will always say, recommend, advised and train myself is… Rhythm, Timing and Melody. If u owned a looper it be more awesome as u can practice and even create melody from scales with ur inner creativity. And slowly expand and shaped into solos. Remember to have fun don’t stress or torture urself as music comes from what u r feeling eventually. And that is where modes comes in eventually. Happy training!
