How to burn what I play on guitar onto a CD

I have this project for school where I’m going to make a soundtrack for a certain book and put it on a CD so I thought I’d play some things and use that as my soundtrack. Problem is I have no clue how to film my audio of me playing and then burn it onto a CD. I have an iPad and a phone I could use to record it but how do I burn the audio onto a CD from there? Maybe downloading it to vimeo and then burning the audio onto the CD from my computer would work?

What I would do for my setup, is transfer the file from my phone via bluetooth to my computer. Then I’d open the file in Windows media player, import it into the library and then click the tab that says “burn”. But my setup may not be the same as yours.

Jak is on the right path. There are better ways to get better quality audio, but they tend to involve spending money and a learning curve and I get the sense you’d like to avoid that. You should be able to use Garage Band on the phone or iPad and export the results to an MP3 or aac file you can burn to the CD with Windows.
If your computer is a Mac, just Sync the Garage Band files to the Mac, then export to CD from there.

I may be able to download garage band on my iPad but it’s a generation 2 and last time I checked it won’t let me download apps anymore. It wouod work on my phone though. My computer isn’t a Mac and it’s super old(I mean it has windows 8 or 9 I think) but the rest should work I think.

Older version of Garage Band should download. My son has an older iPad too, and it still downloads apps. Some of the newer ones aren’t compatible with his older operating system (it won work with anything newer than iOS 9, I think), but it will still download if there’s room.
