I have recently been doing bits on the side of save me (might have to delay for a few days ) like sweeping, economy picking etc and it has been a slight burden as it meant i struggled with songs that are slower and playing bluesy style songs. I feel like my playing is looser and my right hand movements are a lot bigger, is there any tips you might be able to give

Metronome and lots of practice. Notes with using metronome: build up your speed. No need to start at the original BPM. learn the part however you see fit and then you go up from there. I know its nothing exciting but if anyone has anything better, im curious too.

I think what has happened is that my upstrokes have become a lot stronger and they are changing how I play, for example, If I were to start playing on a new string I tend to start with a downstroke but now it is a much bigger mix. It will take a while to get used to and make sure the dynamics are the same but it will all be worth it.
