Just for backstory sake(it makes it easier to understand why I said it’s peculiar)
Basically I’ve been playing since I was 14 years old(I’m 23 years old know) and in my memory one of the things I’ve been told more than anything was always slow down until I was like 20 years old. For a big part I kind of ignored my vibrato and bending in key(I would advice against this). The last 3 years I have been working on it and been able to shred in a more tasty way(if I say so myself) and my vibrato and bending and stuff like that.
Now here’s the peculiar thing lately I haven’t really been super interested in shredding. I still kinda do it when I play along with certain songs but in general when I improvise I barely shred at all even though I’m able to do so(for example you can get a Minor swing backingtrack in a couple of tempos and I prefer to play over the one at 100 BPM instead of the regular 190 BPM) which is kind of new to me. Maybe my taste is just changing. What do you guys think?
