libad5343.net - Marketing Campaign or ????

    So there's a LOT of speculation that the "hack" of the band a couple days ago carried out by Reddit user "libad5343" is actually the start of a marketing campaign for the new album and/or single.

    It looks very likely to be true (though, it should be said, if it is, the guys ain't telling us - this is as much news to me as anyone)

    There's the website: libad5343.net - this website was only registered on February 16th, right before Syn made a cryptic post saying "The point of it all is to beat the game"

    There are, scattered in hidden places, references to a number of science fiction IPs - 2001, Blade Runner, Jurassic Park, etc.

    LIBAD could mean "Life is But a Dream."

    And on the Discord, the mods have compiled a handy doc to bring folks up to speed. There is much to still be unconvered.

    I agree that it looks very likely that it is some sort of marketing campaign for new album/single. If it were a "hacker" that set all this in motion, it would have taken months to set it all up, and for what? The AI/Sci-fi stuff also seems very much like something they would incorporate.

    I don't care for the announcing concerts are cancelled though, and then saying, that wasn't us, we're still playing. Doesn't affect me, but people get pretty sensitive about that kind of stuff. Definitely getting attention though, so I guess maybe it's doing what it was supposed to do.

    I'm ready for the new music though, so I do hope this is the start of something!

    Okay, so someone may have noticed this already, but if you type literally anything after libad5343.net/ you get a weird moving pattern.

    So far everything I'm typing gives that pattern - apart from one thing:


    This one just gives a short flash of a pattern and then a blank white webpage (at least for me) anyone else?

    What is going on

    Final update and I'm freaking out a bit:

    I decided to try all the months of the year at the end and see if any got a blank page:

    I think you’re on to something. Tried it out for myself. The word extraterrestrial also causes it to disappear. However, If you do aliens after…it’s faster and closer together.

    Ive freaked myself out haha - although some people on the discord arent getting the same results. Just tried extraterrestrial, works on my end too

    Venus also makes it disappear. Damnit, Chris. Now I have to keep trying shit hoping it’ll make an actual picture appear lol
