This was a super impromptu video stemming from a convo in a group chat. I just wanted to showcase the basic sound of each guitar (clean and distorted tones)
No pedals used, just the guitars straight into the amp. Hopefully this can help anyone deciding between an expensive strat vs a mid level strat.

I may be deaf. ...or my ears are just not developed enough...but they kinda sound the same to me (of course regarding the same positions).....this makes the strat that I want even better. American player series of course!

It’s a mess but I’m so glad it helps lol. To me I only hear slight differences. I was just plugged straight into a tube amp with each. No effects pedals.

His signature single coil pickups do sound much brighter. But man do I love a humbucker lol
