Hello there synners.
I've seen a lot of topics surrounding motivation and time management lately, which is a very good thing. It means people want to get better.
I have been blessed (and cursed at the end, because of the managers) to have worked in an online library for 3 years and I came across quite a few good books there. And while creativity books were lost to some of my peers, some books regarding personal development have stuck with me after I've read them.
And I figured I'd share them with you guys since they might help you out in some way or another:
- The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg - as the name suggests, this book focuses on what a habit is, how you can form it and how habits can help you become better at whatever it is you're trying to do
- Smarter, Faster, Better by Charles Duhigg - the chapter I recommend focusing on here is the one referring to stretch goals, where the general idea is to do your daily activities, plus a little bit more; in other words, if your daily routine consists learning the verse riff from Afterlife, try doing that and then also try and learn a bit or all of the pre-chorus
- Grit by Angela Duckworth - I see this as a book telling you that hard (and smart) work pay off in the end
- The Defining Decade by Meg Jay - it's about the idea of not wasting your 20s; and while she kind of takes a jab at musicians at one point in her book, it's still a good one
- Drive by Daniel Pink - a book about motivation
- The 3 Secrets to Effective Time Investment by Elizabeth Saunders - a book about time management and how to make it work
I hope you find these helpful.
