muting tremolo bridges with foam

Hi there
Im trying to fix my noisy tremolo bridge using foam
Bit I dont know how exactly do it
Bc the foam doesnt seam to fix the noise xD
I have a lot of foam, how i should use it?

there are alot of youtube vids but its just as simple as putting a cut out square and putting it underneath the springs and that should solve it

Im trying to putting it under the springs
But there is a little cable under them

Ok the foam its under the springs
But it doesnt seem to fix the noise

the problem is that it is very thicc
So i had to cut a half of it, bc otherwise it cant gp under the springs
But now its seem to not be thicc enough lmao

maybe flatten the foam a bit then try to put more under the springs

Foam may push on the springs and throw you a little out of tune. You can buy these inserts that go inside the spring pretty cheap and they work great!
